This involved indepth research and analysis of current events. Bringing together 10 key current factual drivers of information and finding a common thread between them. This information was then translated to create a trend. Imagery was used to show the ever expanding trend within sectors of retail. I choose to explore how the trend grows within the visual merchandising sector, I look at fixtures, tables, mannequins and window details.

My key drivers show amazing advances in technology and innovative products. My research highlighted the ever expanding world of technology and the growing reliance we have on it. This was a common thread throughout many different sectors, from medicine to travel.

Imagery was found to show examples where the trend is already manifesting itself, cross sector analysis drew images from fashion to architecture.
Future Trend
From these images the trend aesthetics were then applied to the visual merchandising sector, the effect of the trend 'HUMANITY 2.0' was demonstrated by looking at Visual Merchandising features and providing examples of this trends effects on VM. This looked at the best fixtures and mannequins for this trend.
